I found this assignment difficult to think about because you genuinely had to challenge objects you use in your everyday life. By being an engineer, I have to be around a lot of electronics and a source of my problems throughout the day are related to electronics and electrical systems. Also, our generation is powered on instant gratification and portability, so there is always something around us that we find slow or unappealing. It is great to truly think about a product, evaluate its strengths and weaknesses, and try to find a way to innovate and make it better.
Hi Aaron,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you in the fact that this assignment was difficult because we had to challenge things we do in an everyday setting. I'm laughing at your IPhone bugs because I'm an Android user and always get ragged on for using it, but I see that IPhones have some of the same bugs as well. I also have wireless headphones and find that the one issue I have with them are the fact that they constantly need to be charged.
Aaron,
ReplyDeleteI thought it was interesting that you mentioned mechanical pencil lead breaking. I pretty much only use mechanical pencils and I have this problem all the time. Also when you brought up iPhone screens breaking it hit home for me because I just cracked my screen this week. Overall, I agree that this assignment was more difficult than expected but it made my think about problems and solutions a lot more
